Rakosh Das Begamudre has been actively engaged in teaching, research, development and consulting in electrical machinery, control of machines and extra high voltage power transmission for nearly five decades at universities in India, USA and Canada. He holds the BSc (Engineering) Degree from the Banaras Hindu University, a Masters Degree from the IIS, Bangalore and a PhD from the Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA. Hi training in large rotating machinery and transformer engineering was a the factories of Hitachi in Japan. He has held faculty positions at various reputed universities in India, Lehigh and the Royal Military College of Canada.
