OverviewDay to day numbers of newer Anxiolytic drugs and their formulations either in single or in combined dosage forms are marketed. Combination of Diazepam and Propranolol is one of new anxiolytic combination. The combination of Diazepam and Propranolol is not official in any pharmacopoeia; hence no official method is available for the estimation of these two drugs. A literature survey revealed that spectroscopic, colorimetric, chromatographic etc. methods are reported for the estimation of these drugs either alone or in combination with other drug in pharmaceutical dosage form and in biological fluids.
