Just today, my Learning Consultant showed me how to insert the Ted Talks I use in my class into the eBook Its time to think about changing my other courses to Cengage and MindTap. Overall, MindTap is a great, user- friendly system. It frees up time and resources for other things. Since students have already had some engagement with the material prior to our first class discussion of each chapter, class discussions are more interactive. This takes some of the teaching pressure off of instructors and allows more time for activities, demonstrations, and supplemental material to be shared. Students have busy lives outside of class, so its hard for them to find time to keep learning. With many features accessible by smartphone, MindTap exposes them to course content so that they come to class better prepared. There was a VERY strong correlation between students who stayed on the assigned course schedule and students who had success in the course. I had great support from Cengage.
