Overview

The prayer: Essence of the Psalms is based on the idea, that it is very holy to pray the Psalms. It is even more holy to pray the whole Psalms in one sitting, but the time you need is very much, and I got the inspiration of finding the Essence of it. This prayer you can pray in 20minutes and you don't need 6hours. Haschem lead me to this inspiration. I sought out what I considered the most peaceful verse of each chapter in Psalms. I had the idea that the most peaceful sentence will bring the prayer close to Him, because He loves peace more than everything else. In the 13 beliefs of RAMBAM we pray about the Moshiach and his coming very soon. And the wolf shall lie with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah 11:6-9) This is pure peace, not only the absence of war. Each creature is filled up with peace. What can we do to reach this inner peace within us, in our days where we are far away from this ideal we have only one chance for getting this peace, and this is praying. Yocheved Schneider lives in Jerusalem and considers Chessed (kindess) to be a central part of her life. She has German, American and Italian roots. For many years of her life she has lived in Germany, attending University there, working in the Medical field. Yocheved enjoys playing Violin and is a very devout religious woman. Her love of Israel transcends all things, especially Yerushalayim and the Kotel. She is hoping that Moshiach will arrive now every day.
