His areas of expertise are Renewable Energy Engineering, Solar Thermal Engineering, Solar Photovoltaic Technology and Greenhouse Technology. Author of six books (four in Renewable Energy Technology and two in Sources of Farm Power). He did his B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) from OUAT, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, M. Tech. (Farm Power and Machinery) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, West Bengal and Ph.D. (Energy Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
