Overview

There has been a recent focus on the personal, social and health education (PSHE) of young people, and particularly citizenship, with provision for its inclusion within the new National Curriculum. This book acts as a bridge between the revised curriculum and future changes, by setting out some principles and establishing frameworks that will offer support to teachers and others in developing high quality PSHE. The book argues that a properly constructed PSHE curriculum is needed to enhance pupils' personal and social development - at both primary and secondary level. The book is constructed around case study schools which show practitioners how they can address the issues in their own schools.
