Ethan Hayes grew up in Oklahoma, and moved to Texas when he attended Texas A&M. Upon graduation he was hired by Texas Parks and Wildlife and remained there until he retired twenty-two years later. He currently lives in southeast Texas, with his wife and two dogs.
