He received his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from IIT Roorkee. He conducted his postdoctoral research at Nagoya University, Japan, and Lund University, Sweden. He has published more than 230 research papers, edited five books, has many patents granted/filed, and has transferred technologies to industry. His areas of research interest include biomaterials, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, bioprocess engineering, and environmental biotechnology. Prof. Kumar has been conducting active national and international research collaborations and has been recognized with various awards and appreciations for his outstanding research contributions. Dr. Sneha Singh is an assistant professor in the Department of Bioengineering and Biotechnology at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India (BIT Mesra). She received her Ph.D. in the domain of nanobiotechnology from BIT. She has published many peer-reviewed research papers, book chapters, edited books, and patents to her credit. Her research interests span nanobiotechnology, biomaterials and tissue engineering, phytomedicines, antimicrobials and regenerative medicine specializing in nanomaterials, phytobioactives, and smart biomaterials for biomedical applications while conducting active research collaborations with eminent institutions nationally and internationally. Dr. Prerna Singh is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, IIT Kanpur, India. She received her Ph.D. in biotechnology from Banaras Hindu University, India, in 2017. Her research areas include biomaterials, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, stem cell research, and phytomedicine. She has significant peerreviewed research articles, granted patent, book chapters and edited issues in journals among her scientific accomplishments. She is presently working in the area of biocompatible scaffolds for bone and soft tissue engineering. She has been involved in international and national collaborative research work with Aalto University, Finland; IIT Delhi; SKUAST, Kashmir; BIT Mesra, and BHU.
