Can stuffed elephants go to kindergarten, too? Sammie takes Ellie, her stuffed elephant lovey, everywhere. But stuffed animals can't come to Sammie's kindergarten. I liked how I could read the book to her as most of the words were easy to sound out. We think all moms and dads and maybe grandparents too, should read this book to their kids, especially the ones going to a new place they have never been to before. Lee Zee (a.k.a. Lee Reed Zarnikau) loves to create sweet and whimsical children's books out of parenting moments. Lee also writes general fiction under the name Lee Reed. A freelance writer, editor, meeting facilitator and sustainable business consultant, Lee lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband and daughter and a menagerie of furry creatures. Lee holds a BA in English Literature and an MBA in Sustainable Development from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a member of SCBWI and the Writers' League of Texas. A fan of the arts and education, Lee created a volunteer-based music program for pre-schools and enjoys tutoring math and reading. In addition to illustrating, Lee's artistic pursuits include knitting and creating stained and fused glass jewelry and art.
