OverviewIn this 21st century, there has been a record increase in the highly dangerous multi-drug resistant pathogenic strains, which are usually being found in sensitive places like operation theatres and intensive care units of public health institutions. Conventionally use of disinfectants are a requisite for Hospital environment and especially in these patient sensitive places. But the degree of their dosage and retention time are important factors for them to effectively work. These factors are equally important for both chemical and physical disinfectant especially UV rays. But the emergence of drug resistant nosocomial strains are a great threat to the prescribers due to their DNA lession repair mechanisms. Keeping this in mind, the authors have provided comprehensive details of the isolation and identification of nosocomial bacterial strains and the possible mode of action of UV ray on the DNA molecules of targeted bacterial clones. Both in vitro and in silico studies are in agreement with each other.
