"In recent years, the environmental deterioration to which the different natural resources of our environment have been subjected has been evidenced. As an answer to this problem, by specialists in the matter, the creation of techniques exclusively dedicated to the identification and quantification of such deterioration has arisen; its most visible and used figure at present is denominated under a generic name as ""Environmental Impact Assessments"", which have been incorporated and converted as one of the fundamental tools that intervene in the normal course of projects, works or activities, thus achieving a compatibility between economic development and the environment."
