Overview

The problem of biodiversity in the monsoon zone is connected to species adaptations, speciation, florogenesis, plant community formation, vegetation dynamics and population structure. The authors of this book applied the concept of ecological range (ER) of plant species to investigate adaptive strategies of plants in the Russian Far East (RFE) monsoon zone. The ER is a part of multidimensional ecological space (MES), and part of the ecological niche. Every species has its own ER and ecological niche, and they change in different parts of the geographical range of the species.
