OverviewThe International Symposium on Ecological Indicators was developed to explore both the enormous potential of ecological indicators and the substantial issues surrounding their development and implementation. A key goal of the symposium was to assemble an international group of scientists, researchers, administrators and policy makers who could contribute to discussion of these issues.
