(Yachting Monthly, February 2009) ...very much a 'cruising companion', with patches of history, anecdote, quotation and detail of shoreside facilities...well illustrated... (Sailing Today, March 2009) 'For those who prefer an interesting read to a technical guide, East Coast Rivers is full of good local knowledge.' (Yachting Monthly, December 2010). The old favourite for this area and has been in publication since 1956. Years of experience shine through in the well-thought out use of photographs and chartlets. (Classic Boat, Aug 2015). Author InformationIn the 1950s Janet Harber's father, Jack Coote, wrote a series of articles on various East Coast rivers for Yachting Monthly magazine, which were soon published in book form – in the first edition of this cruising companion. Janet has taken over authorship of the book, now in its 20th edition. Nowadays Janet sails on her sister’s lifting-keel Parker 325 based on the Deben and Orwell rivers.
