Author Information

Neil Fachie has pursued sport – and winning – throughout his life. At the age of four, Neil was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative eye condition. After graduating from university, he decided to become a full-time athlete, representing ParalympicsGB in athletics at the Beijing 2008 Games. After losing his funding, Neil’s hopes of representing his country at London 2012 looked bleak. A mindset switch and a shift in focus led him to British Cycling, where he has dominated his events for over a decade, winning multiple gold medals and breaking world records. Neil wrote Earn Your Stripes to help others achieve their full potential. Find out more at earn-your-stripes.co.uk
