"FIVE STARS - READERS' FAVORITE ""After a tragedy leaves a boy an orphan, he discovers that he has special powers that will help save lives in the young adult adventure, E-Z Dickens Superhero (Book One: Tattoo Angel) by Cathy McGough. Thirteen-year-old Ezekiel Dickens, E-Z to his friends and family, is an average boy with a passion for baseball. When an accident rips away his parents and confines him to a wheelchair, Riddles and spirits abound in the supernatural young adult adventure, E-Z Dickens Superhero (Book One: Tattoo Angel) by Cathy McGough. With a positive message, this story has the potential to help those suffering injuries and trauma to heal and shift their perspective."" FOUR STARS - AMAZON REVIEWER When E-Z wakes up in the hospital after a tragic accident, his parents are dead and the thirteen-year-old can't wiggle his toes. Although confined to a wheelchair, he discovers he can fly-with wings sprouting from his shoulders where tattoos should have been. He's not left to navigate in the strange new world on his own, for he has his Uncle Sam, who steps in to parent him, along with supernatural entities that pop up when least expected. I like E-Z. He's quirky, and even though the accident has squashed his dream of becoming a professional ballplayer, he doesn't feel sorry for himself and drags the reader down with him. His attitude is uplifting (despite that he has wings, no pun intended). Readers will champion him. It's good to see a disabled character play a central role in the storyline rather than stay on the sidelines, contributing little to the action. Kudos to the author. I also like the concept of spirits who give E-Z special powers, but I would have liked to see them become more developed as other main characters. Still, a clever story. Young teens will enjoy this book. Well done."
