It set the scene for his study of archaeology. Over the years, in his search of the plowed fields and construction sites in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri, he found many long-lost Indian arrowheads. When he rolled one of those points over in his hand, he would ask himself, I wonder what kind of a story this one could tell? Who knows, it could be the story of Dreamer. In Burlington, Iowa in 1941, Wiemer was his scoutmaster's first eagle scout. In his professional life he was a landscape architect, graduating from Iowa State University in 1955. He chose public service and designed, built and managed parks in his 35 year career. He now lives in Winter Haven, Florida. The cover design and book illustrations are by the author's son Dan, who lives in Red Wing, Minnesota. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
