Author Information

Nicole Gurran is Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Sydney, where she leads Urban Housing Lab@Sydney and directs the University’s AHURI (Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute) research centre. Nicole’s research focuses on intersections between urban planning and the housing system and she has led and collaborated on a series of studies on aspects of urban policy, housing, sustainability and planning. Paul J Maginn is an urban planner/geographer at the University of Western Australia, and is the Programme Co-ordinator for the Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. Dr Maginn is also the Editor-in-Chief of Urban Policy and Research. Paul Burton is Professor of Urban Management and Planning & Director at the Cities Research Institute, Griffith University, Australia. Crystal Legacy is a Senior Lecturer in Urban Planning at the University of Melbourne and a former Australian Research Council DECRA recipient (2014-2017). Carey Curtis is Professor of City Planning and Transport and Director of the research network Urbanet at Curtin University, Australia. She is also is Managing Editor of the Journal ‘Urban Policy and Research’. Anthony Kent is Lecturer in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies at RMIT University, Australia. Geoffrey Binder is a casual tutor/lecturer and consultant in behaviour and organisational change/innovation for environmental sustainability, in the Department of Planning and Social Sciences at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
