"""Few questions are more important for the modern church than our understanding of the call of Jesus to self-denial. Is that call a slogan for our next missions conference, or is it an essential note to be sounded in our evangelism? Jesse Hamilton persuasively demonstrates that it is the latter. I especially commend the chapters on prayer, a perennial kingdom priority, and social justice, an issue needing the clear thinking this book provides."" --Randy Pizzino, Equipping Pastors International ""Jesse Hamilton has written a detailed treatment of many biblical themes which are not considered as carefully as they should be in much of the Christian community, and not adequately treated among the best Christian thinkers of our day. He does so with considerable skill, utilizing firsthand knowledge and mixing in accounts of God's providential working in his life."" --Charles Fortner, Pastor Emeritus, Grace Reformed Baptist Church of Mebane"
