Overview"The book examines the development of the Zipf brewery in the context of the Austrian brewing industry. The focus is on the time of National Socialism, when the V2 armaments factory ""Schlier"" and a subcamp in Mauthausen significantly influenced the operation of the brewery and its difficult handling after the war. Based on an analysis of the beginnings and growth of the Zipf brewery from 1858 to 1938 against the background of the history of the Austrian brewing industry, the book examines the development of the Zipf brewery during the interwar period of the V2 armaments factory ""Schlier"" and the establishment of the corresponding Mauthausen satellite camp. The role of the brewery in these developments and the resulting consequences for business operations are examined. The study is rounded off by a discussion of the lengthy processing of the arms business and an overview of the development up to the 1970s."
