OverviewThe Change in the Allocation of Court Business The allocation of cases by the German courts through case management is caught between formal strictness and the (practical) need for the justice system to run as efficiently as possible. The defendant's right under German law to a statutory judge must be appropriately balanced with the constitutional requirement of a functioning administration of criminal justice and the constitutional principle of acceleration. Following his First Sate Examination in 2016, he completed his legal clerkship at Lubeck District Court. He passed the Second State Examination in August 2018 and proceeded to write his thesis at the University of Greifswald under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christoph Sowada (Professorship of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law).
