OverviewFINALIST IN THE 2013 NATIONAL INDIE EXCELLENCE BOOK AWARDS! Diction on Addiction is a reference book of the English language that focuses specifically on terminology pertaining to habitual or compulsive behaviors. The reference book is primarily composed of words related to chemical dependency. Further, it encompasses diction commonly associated with other types of addictions, such as gambling, sex, video games, amongst others. Accordingly, Diction on Addiction includes over 800 entries of vocabulary words, idiomatic phrases, proverbial expressions, and so forth, together with over 900 concise definitions. Many entries also display abbreviations, variants, functional labels, capitalization, etymology, and related words, in addition to their corresponding definitions. The list of entries was consolidated from four different sources: 1) The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 2) The Chambers Dictionary, 3) Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, and 4) McGraw-Hill's Dictionary of American Idioms and Phrasal Verbs. Addictions are ubiquitous and have increasingly become a global issue. Consequently, the English language has evolved and entails quite a bit of terminology on the subject matter. Finally, a comprehensive list of diction has been compiled on addictions. This unique resource guide is now available to the world for future study.
