Author Information

Dr Vikas Garg is Professor & Head of the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies in Dehradun, India. He received  his B.E. in CiEngineering,  and his M.Tech and Ph.D in Water Resources Engineering. He is a recipient of the Indian Patent for developing “Multiple Collar Plates: A Composite scour Protection Device” in 2006.  Recently, he received the G M. Nawathe Award for Best Research Paper by the Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH) at CWPRS Pune. Earlier, he received the G M Nawathe Award from the Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH) for the Best Research Paper in HYDRO – 2005.  He has been honored with the Young Engineer Award by Institution of Engineers (India) in 2008.  He  has published 40 research papers in National Journals and from International and National Conferences.
