Overview

Four high school students, having no personal connection to one another, find themselves in detention. The nerd, the bully, the follower and the girl with attitude -- each is struggling with their own issues and battling their own challenges. The interactions they exchange and the conversations they have opens their eyes to learn more about their individual selves. The characters leave detention with a better sense of who they really are and what steps to take in order to get to the next level in life, in addition to new friends. Mena Badros, Jonathan Jimenez and Alex Rias met during college, as members of the same national fraternity and teammates on a step team that competed around the country. They each shared something else in common: a knack for public speaking and inspiring personal and leadership development. Alex, Mena and Jon quickly recognized that stepping could be utilized to engage audiences and bring new life to stories and messages of motivation. This is how Step Above was born!
