She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), Fellow of Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and member of the American Society of Heating Refrigerating Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). She has broad interests in sustainability of the built environment including energy in buildings; building environmental performance assessment; thermal comfort and wellbeing; occupants’ behaviour; intelligent energy management and control, and low carbon eco-cities. She is the founder and current course director of the Design and Management of Sustainable Built Environment Master’s programme at the University of Reading.
