Joan Kopczynski grew up in the Pacific Northwest. After attending school to become a legal secretary, she was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency. She later graduated from Gonzaga University and is the author of Spies, Lies & Psychosis (revised and retitle Descent into Madness, and The Freedom chaser, a finalist in the 2020 PNWA Pearl Book Award.
