She teaches English, is married, and has two teenage kids. She is a former victim of domesticviolence. She is the author of Sobreviví, published in 2018. She has published a second book Mi historia de amor con un ex preso de Guantánamo and is currently working on her third book about parental alienation. She likes to write about real stories, and those are the types of books she pre- fers to read. She is currently working with two producers on a documentary about domestic violence.
