Overview

Adverbs tell us when and how,/Like, quickly do your homework, now./They often help describe the verbs,/Like, patiently plant peas and herbs. In this 20th anniversary edition of Dearly, Nearly, Insincerely, author Brian Cleary and illustrator Brian Gable cleverly provide numerous examples of adverbs. The text's playful rhymes combine with fun illustrations to build understanding of how this part of speech is used. New Try It! features, updated back matter, and a fresh font make these editions extra special.
