OverviewEnglish summary: The Internet of Things and the Criminal Law. Challenges Smart Devices Pose to both Substantive Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law The interconnectedness of everyday life via the Internet of Things poses new challenges to both substantive criminal law and criminal procedural law. This study addresses, from a substantive law perspective, the question of how criminal law can protect data and devices within the Internet of Things. From a procedural standpoint, it discusses the extent to which technically feasible investigative measures utilizing data and devices of the Internet of Things are admissible.
