Marie Vachková, PhD, geboren 1954, tschechische Linguistin, hat Germanistik und Skandinavistik an der Karls-Universität in Prag studiert. Seit 1993 ist sie am Institut für Germanische Studien tätig und beschäftigt sich mit Lexikologie, Lexikographie, Wortbildung, kontrastiver Linguistik und Korpuslinguistik. Im Jahre 2000 begründete sie die Lexikographische Sektion des Instituts für Germanische Studien.
