She began by writing short stories which received notice from her professors at St. Phillips College. Her professors in turn encouraged her to move forward. Shortly after finishing her education, Cynthia self-published her first book of short stories based on true life events, Vintage Club Stories Volume I. Soon after, her work received the attention of local directors, leading to her entry into short film. Award winning Writer/Director Issac Rodriquez joined forces with Cynthia in 2014, where the two established ""No Sleep Films.""
