She obtained her Doctorate of Education degree with the emphasis of Educational Leadership and Management. In addition, she holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Dillard University, a master's degree in Journalism from the UALR, and a second master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UTA. She has served in various roles within K-12 such as a Secondary Math Interventionist, Educational Diagnostician, MST Algebra 1 teacher, Lead ESL teacher, and a Resource Geometry and Math Models teacher. She currently works as an Assessment Specialist for a school district in Lewisville, TX.
