OverviewExcerpt from Contributions to Canadian Pal ontology, Vol. 1 Dr. Dawson's Report, in the volume referred to, contains several short lists of fossils, but these as there stated are to be regarded as provisional only, and may be considered as superseded by the present paper. The species are enumerated or described, as the case may be, in a stratigraphical and descending order corresponding as nearly as possible to the grouping and nomenclature in Dr. Dawson's Report. The only exceptions to this mode of arrangement occur in the case of a few of the specimens from the Laramie basin north of the typical region near the Belly River. In this northern part of the basin it has so far been impossible to correlate the sub-divisions of the Laramie with those of the Belly River and vicinity.
