"Ms. Fang ZHENG was a prolific writer during the Republic of China. Fang (1910-1961) was born in Wujiang, Jiangsu. She showed her literary talent at an early age and was appreciated by her uncle Yazi LIU, a well-known Chinese poet and political activist. In 1930, Fang studied in the Foreign Languages Department of the School of Liberal Arts of Yenching University. In 1933, Fang was married to Dr. Xiangeng ZHOU, a famous professor in psychology of Tsinghua University. Fang began writing for newspapers in 1944 in Kunming where her husband, Dr. Zhou, taught at the National Southwest Associated University. She served as editor-in-chief of the ""Women's Literature and Art"" column of the ""Central Daily News"" and the ""Women and Family"" column of the ""Peking Times"". Fang also wrote columns for many newspapers and magazines in Kunming, Peking and Tianjin. Her works are rich in content and diverse in genre. 郑芳是民国时期活跃的多产作家之一。郑芳（1910-1961）出生于江苏吴江盛泽郑氏家族，自幼显示了其文学天赋，受到姑父柳亚子的赞赏。1930年就读燕京大学文学院外文系，1933年与清华大学心理系著名教授周先庚结为伉俪。1944年在昆明西南联大期间开始写作，曾任《中央日报》""妇女文艺""、《北平时报》""妇女与家庭""栏目主编，抗战胜利后继续为昆明、北平、天津等多家报刊专栏撰稿，内容丰富，体裁多样。 Dr. Xiangeng ZHOU (or Siegen K. CHOU, 1903-1996) is a famous Chinese psychologist. He is the founder of experimental and applied psychology in China. Dr. Zhou pioneered the research in Chinese character psychology and made significant academic contributions to educational psychology, industrial psychology, and military psychology. He was a Professor in Psychology at the Tsinghua University, and a co-founder of the Chinese Psychological Society. Dr. Zhou graduated from Stanford University in 1930 and Tsinghua University in 1924. 周先庚（1903-1996）是中国著名心理学家，是中国实验及应用心理学的奠基人。他开创了汉字心理学的研究，并在教育心理学、工业心理学、军事心理学等多个领域做出了重要学术贡献。他曾任清华大学理学院心理系教授，中国心理学会的主要发起人之一。周先庚1930年毕业于斯坦福大学，1924年毕业于清华大学。"
