A man with adventure in his soul and a talent for communicating his passion? Crane is something of a treasure. -- The Daily Mail , on Mercator

A man with adventure in his soul and a talent for communicating his passion? Crane is something of a treasure. --The Daily Mail, on Mercator Crane... is an engaging companion, whether on horseback, bike, foot, boat or car. --Wanderlust, on Great British Journeys The book is clearly the product of extensive research. It is also, however, the product of considerable imagination and insight, an intensive effort of sympathy by one geographer for another. --Robert MacFarlane, The Observer, on Mercator
