Author Information

Many people may ask, ""Why do you have a passion for cleaning?"" My response is often that I love the feeling of leaving a spotless environment for my clients where they can take a deep breath and relax. My name is Alexandra Vogel and my passion for cleaning started in Germany, my country of origin. I started my first cleaning job twenty-seven years ago when my son was three years old. I wanted to make some extra money while my son was in kindergarten, and later when he started school. A friend of mine told me that she had some clients she cleaned houses for. I liked the idea of flexible work hours, but I did not enjoy the idea of cleaning other people's homes. Still, the money was appealing to me and therefore I was torn. Eventually, I decided to begin cleaning. Cleaning was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. It became a passion of mine that has stuck with me all my life. When I moved to Canada, I worked as a housekeeper for a local hotel where I gained even more experience. A couple months later, I was promoted to the housekeeping manager. The combined knowledge and passion of cleaning private homes and hospitality is now what I want to pass on to others.
