Candice Marley Conner enjoys swamp book clubs but she'd rather chomp tacos than books. She has stories and poetry in Highlights Hello and Babybug Magazine and is the author of Sassafras and her Teeny Tiny Tail, also published by MacLaren-Cochrane Publishing, as well as the YA Southern mystery, The Existence Of Bea Pearl. She lives in Alabama with her family, two cats, and a guinea pig who also enjoys chomping books. Alaina got her degree in illustration in 2010 and since then, she has illustrated over 10 children's books and painted murals from France to Utah.
