Reviews

Chinese Folklore Studies Today is a very rich book which covers a wide range of contemporary topics, research interests, and methodologies, and in addition provides an introduction to the history of folklore studies in China. . . . This book is warmly recommended to folklorists, anthropologists, and specialists in East Asian studies. It opens up our understanding of an academic area not known widely enough. -- James H.
