Growing food inside the Arctic Circle sounded like the hardest thing ever to do. And yet, undaunted, Benjamin went ahead and did just that! In his book you'll get to learn the secrets of what drove him to succeed and how you can do the same for yourself. Setting up my own business was the best thing I ever did. If I'd had a copy of this book back then I imagine it would've helped me no end. Best wishes, -Aranya Austin, Permaculture teacher, designer and author www.learnpermaculture.com My name is Thomas-and I have both worked and travelled in the Arctic for 25 years. First in Greenland where I worked, and then as a visitor on Svalbard in March 2004. After reading Benjamin Vidmar's book-I was both deeply touched and also inspired by his commitment and enthusiasm to his vision and project to Polar Permaculture on Svalbard. It is this commitment that also made his own Country put a man on the Moon. I know how harsh and difficult the life in The Arctic is-so I can only say that I deeply respect Benjamin for his work up there-but sadly some people did their best to make his dream not come true.. I hope that this book will maybe inspire others to make their own vision come true. Thomas Below - Arctic Traveller from Copenhagen, Denmark...
