ANTON A. BEBLER is Professor of Political Science and of Defense Sciences at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia./e He authored and edited several books as well as numerous chapters and scholarly articles. In 1991-1992, Dr. Bebler chaired the Slovenian Council of the European Movement. He joined the Slovenian Foreign Service in 1992 and, until September 1997, served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative at the UN Office in Geneva. In 1998 he was elected President of the Atlantic Council of Slovenia.
