Overview

Before the spring break tourists arrive in full force, before black bears emerge from their dens, and before the forthcoming green up of spring, spend time in the bridge between Tennessee Mountain winter and spring. It is late winter, and there is little forage for hungry deer and turkey. This makes them easier to find in daylight hours. A furious snowfall comes, then relents. Spring starts to return to Cades Cove with lots of water, green grass, and the splendour of the daffodil.

Author Information

"Volume 2 of The Wonders of Cades Cove series was released by David Feist in April 2013. Feist is an accomplished artist, author, illustrator, poet, naturalist, outdoorsman, and conservationist. Hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, Feist urges shoppers to consider his visual art releases such as Cades Cove: The End of Winter. ""I've been to Europe, Alaska, Canada, the Pacific Northwest and then some, but I cannot pick a place better than Cades Cove to really relax. I have seen the Alps and I have traveled the entire Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. I have seen the Poconos and the Olympics, but for some reason I am always happiest in my own backyard right here in Cades Cove. I often go there in the off season, before the black bears get the tourists overly excited in the National Park."""
