As the Chinese Language Program's coordinator and a teaching professor, he has taught Chinese courses at all levels in different subjects, including Modern Chinese, Modern Chinese for Heritage Speakers, Conversational Chinese, Reading and Writing in Chinese, Business Chinese, and Classical Chinese over the past 26 years at UCSB.
