Author Information

Dr. Mubina Hassanali Kirmani an award winning author was born in Kenya, East Africa with ancestry from India. She studied at the University of Nairobi and Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. She has worked and written vastly to promote multicultural education, and is also co-author of Wandering Wind, a book for children, and Oral Literature of the Asians in East Africa, a recommended text for secondary schools in Kenya. She is currently a professor at Towson University, Maryland where she has been Chair of the College of Education Diversity Committee and co-directed the University-wide Multicultural Conference. She is often invited to conferences in the United States and internationally to present on the subject of teaching and learning in diverse societies.
