Philip St. Romain has served as regional coordinator for the Louisiana Department of Educations Substance Abuse Prevention Education program. He has worked as a campus minister and a high-school teacher. St. Romain has participated in many workshops, seminars, and courses in counseling and substance abuse. He is a full-time writer and lecturer and lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with his wife and two daughters.
