Mr. Reach is a professional martial arts instructor and head of the USA Martial Arts Florida group of schools consisting of programs and classes throughout SW Florida. He and his family have been involved in the business of teaching martial arts since 1996. Mr. Reach began his martial arts career under his lifelong instructor and mentor Mr. Van Bushnell Shihan in 1990. He was awarded his 5th Degree Black Belt in 2009 by Bushnell Shihan and Roger A. Jarrett Shihan the President of the USA Martial Arts Federation and Founder of the Chong Shin Tae Kwon Do Karate Associaton. This rank is recognized by the USA Martial Arts Federation, Chong Shin Tae Kwon Do Karate Association and the North American Karate Federation. Mr. Reach also holds the teaching title of Shidoin or Advanced Instructor from the Chong Shin Tae Kwon Do Karate Association. Mr. Reach is a student of Aikido and began his formal study in 1990 under Bushnell Shihan. In 2006 he was promoted to the rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt by Bushnell Shihan, Jarrett Shihan and Kevin Blok Kyoshi. This rank is recognized by the USA Martial Arts Federation, USA Aikido Association and the Chudokai Aikido Association International. He was also awarded the title of Shidoin or Advanced Instructor. A student of Iaido, the art of drawing and cutting with the Japanese sword. Mr. Reach was promoted to the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt by Bushnell Shihan, and Jarrett Shihan in 2009. This rank is recognized by the USA Martial Arts Federation, USA Iaido Shoshin Ryu, and the All Japan Iai Tate-Do Federation. Judo and Jujitsu are also a part of Mr. Reach's martial studies and he has been studying both styles since the early 1990's. In 2008 he was promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt by Bushnell Shihan and Jarrett Shihan. This rank is recognized by the USA Martial Arts Federation and the USA Judo Jujitsu Association. He has studied a wide variety of other martial arts in addition to the ones above such as Tai Chi Chuan, Qi Gong, Toyama Ryu Batto Jutsu, Chinese and Okinawan Kempo and various styles of Okinawan and Japanese Karate. Mr. Reach is also the founder of the USA Martial Arts Florida Kardio Kick Fit system and the meditative art of Shintaiwa.
