Wilson Prize given by Harvard University Press, as well as author of numerous articles on Robert Browning and Victorian literature. From 1982-1993, he was annual reviewer of works on Robert Browning for Victorian Poetry. Professor Maynard has held a Guggenheim Fellowship and an XEII Senior Research Grant. Other books by Professor Maynard include Charlotte Bronte and Sexuality and Victorian Discourses on Sexuality and Religion. He is co-editor of Victorian Literature and Culture.
