Excellent descriptive answers to the self-assessment questions are provided in the appendix. Buyers are also provided with a PIN number for a Student Consult web site which includes complete contents of the book online plus multiple choice questions with feedback as well as other learning enrichments. This edition is a markedly improved book that rivals Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, 10th edition, by Katzung (McGraw-Hill, 2007), as a leading pharmacology textbook for teaching pharmacology to health professionals. I highly recommend this fifth edition for adoption. - Thomas L.
