Overview

Bring it on Home is a unique set of worksheets teachers can use to encourage asset building between elementary-age students and students' parents or other caring adults. Topics on the take-home handouts include My family loves me and helps me in lots of ways, I enjoy learning new things, and I have goals and dreams for the future. Each worksheet offers several positive ideas, with sections encouraging students and parents to Think About It, Talk About It, and Do Something About It. It includes a Teacher's Guide for generating asset awareness and a simple, straightforward Parent's Guide that explains the benefits of the worksheets and the assets. It is based on a successful program at Forest Ridge Elementary School in Keizer, Oregon.
