Overview"Brainstorming for a Beautiful Planet is a book of ideas. The architect/author challenges conventional wisdom and proposes innovative solutions for resolving the apparent conflict between our society and the natural world that sustains us. You are invited to think out-of-the box and consider his views and proposals for counteracting climate change. The first part, ""Repairing the World"" presents some of the main ingredients of sustainability, and prepares you for the innovative and sometimes unconventional concepts that follow in the second part of the book. The problems we face today are all pieces of a critical puzzle, and how we will solve them, will determine our future on this planet. Brainstorming for solutions to save our planet is the main purpose of this book. Yet, a fundamental shift in human attitude towards the world must occur first in order for these efforts to succeed. Current global conflicts, such as the clash between the West and radical Islam are impairing humanity's ability to focus its energy and resources on dealing with climate change. In the first chapter, the author offers his understanding of human mentality and behaviour and their effects on the world. In the second part, ""Unconventional Ideas for the Third Millennium"", the author proposes a number of concepts for a sustainable future: ""FlexSola - Flexible Solar House"", ""Trains over Highways"", ""The Reunification of Oakville"", ""Honeycomb Villages"", ""Rescuing Coral Reef Islands"" and ""Future Space Habitat"". Richly illustrated and very informative, the book will capture the attention and stimulate the imagination of those who are truly concerned about our world."
