OverviewEfrem 'Bombo' Dunn is a sixth-grade basketball prodigy with dreams of being an NBA all-time great. The only problem is thathe's never played a single game in his life. After suffering a traumatic experience when he was six, he developed a crippling fear of people, challenging his path to basketball superstardom. When a local middle school basketball coach discovers Bombo's talents, he sets him up with an old friend, Dre Freeman, a psychologist at Yale.
